Questions and Answers:
I don't believe in God yet... I have many doubts, but I am curious. Am I welcome? Yes! Please come with all of your questions and honesty and allow God to reveal Himself to you. What do I wear? Casual to business dress, whatever you are comfortable wearing. Who attends CVA? All are welcome and embraced who are seeking to know God. Our CVA family consists of people from many and non-denominational backgrounds, ages and walks of life. There are long-time Foresthill residents and newcomers to "the hill". There are families, singles, business men and women, students, commuters, retirees...all coming together with the purpose of knowing and serving God and one another.
How important are my children to CVA? Very important to us because they are very important to God. We have exciting programs and classes each week and special events during the year where they may learn how much God loves them and has a purpose for their life. visit children?s page
How important are the youth to CVA? Very important because they are very important to God. We believe they are not just the church of the future, but the church of NOW. The youth have their own activities and services, but they also minister and serve right along with the adults of our fellowship. Many are dynamic, comitted, talented and an integral part of our church family. visit youth page

Must you "speak in tongues" to attend CVA? No. Our fellowship consists of people who have entered into this experience and those who have not. We do not allow the experience to become a decisive issue and all are welcomed and embraced. We do believe in the full gospel and encourage each one to study God's Word, grow in their relationship with Him, their prayer life and every day walk with God. Is CVA involved with the Foresthill Christian Ministers Assoc. (F.C.M.A.)? Yes. We desire to partner with our fellow Pastors and Christians on the hill who have the same goal to reach Foresthill with the good news of Jesus. Pastor Gary meets with the other pastors of FCMA once a month for business, prayer and fellowship and CVA participates in annual joint services and activities. Our women participate in the Foresthill Women's Breakfasts (Mugs N Muffins) for a time of connection and outreach with the women of Foresthill.
Do you have a food or clothes closet? No. We do not have the required storage space. However, we do support the Foresthill food closet (Elijah's Jar) through monetary and food donations. We do have a benevolence fund and can give limited help to those in crisis as the fund allows. We also distribute food & gift baskets every Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
How do you feel about giving? We do not monitor or demand giving, however we know it is a means of worship to God and a way to express our obedience. love and thankfulness to Him.
